Green Spectra Laser is a treatment that is most effective on Sunspots, Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), Melasma, and Tattoo Removal.
Pre-Treatment for Green Laser
Stop all irritating products such as acids, retinas, peels, or any exfoliation devices 2 weeks before and after treatment.
Drink plenty of water 1 week before and after treatment. Start using a light, oil free moisturizer such as the PerfectionsMD Super Hydrator Serum 5 times a day for 1 week before treatment for the best outcome. Sleeping and hydrating well before treatment will speed the recovery process after.
Avoid sun for 2 weeks to prevent collagen breakdown on the skin and pigmentation. Always take precaution to avoid overexposure to sunlight by applying sunscreen such as PerfectionsMD UV Defense every 2-3 hours.
Use skin-lightening agents as prescribed. Most patients with ethnic skin will need this pre-treatment or prep for 6 weeks to greatly decrease the chance of hyperpigmentation (based on evaluation).
Post-Treatment for Green Laser
You may experience dark scabbing of the treated area If so, let the are completely heal without picking or pulling at the scab.
Stop all irritating products such as acids, retinas, peels, or any exfoliation devices 2 weeks after treatment.
Apply Neosporin, Hydrocortisone Cream, and Sunscreen across the entire treated area 5 times a day for the next week to 2 weeks. You may mix these products together or apply in separate layers.
Avoid sun for the next 2 weeks. Use sun visors available at our clinic.
After 1 week, return to the clinic for evaluation. Once evaluated and cleared, restart PerfectionsMD Trinity Line daily (Super Hydrator, Clarity Moisturizer and UV Defense)
