  • Following treatment, moisturize with Aloe Vera gel or any light fragrance-free moisturizer, after the first 48 hours.
  • Use high factor sunscreen, SPF 45 or higher. A good sun block will contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide and will protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
  • Further, the first 5 days following treatment, care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treated site. Thereafter, avoid hot baths, massage, and exercising.

  • Instead, Apply 1% hydrocortisone cream to the treated area every 12 hours for the first 48 hours.
  • Likewise, If scabs appear after blistering, they should be kept soft with a lubricating cream. Blistered or ulcerated skin may be treated with an antibiotic ointment or burn treatment cream.
  • Meanwhile, if bruising occurs, avoid picking at it. Picking can cause scarring. Moreover, once the scab falls off, the skin may be lighter, or darker. This usually resolves over a few months. There will be an obvious color difference from the unburned skin.
  • Nonetheless, Fillers or other injectables should not be done within 2 weeks before/after treatment, or at the discretion of the physician.
  • Henceforth, avoid using skin irritants, Retin-A, Benzyl Peroxide, Glycolic Acid, and astringents on the treated areas. Chemical peels are not recommended throughout the treatment series.
  • Significantly, don’t tan after treatment. Tanning after treatment may cause hyperpigmentation.
