On average, patients require 3-5 sessions to achieve desired results. Treatment sessions are typically spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
There are many imitation fractionated lasers out there. Make sure you are getting the real Fraxel which is safe and effective and minimize severe side effects.
There is the refine, which is for superficial peel, then the restored, which is for deeper peel, then the newest one is the Dual which combines both plus a specialized laser energy to vaporize hard to treat pigmentation in just one treatment! At Skin Perfect we use the Dual Fraxel, the newest most effective of all the models.
You’ll probably feel a bit of heat from the laser while undergoing Fraxel treatments, and local anesthesia will likely be used to prevent most of the discomfort.
For a few days after treatment, the treated area may have minor redness and swelling, similar to sunburn. It’s recommended to avoid exposure to direct sunlight, or to use sunscreen (SPF 30 or above) for 3 months following treatment.

Always wear sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, avoid direct sun exposure, and wear a wide-brimmed hat when in the sun—especially for at least 3 months after your last treatment
